Battlefield 6 proven gear

Silent Steel Oy surprised to find its products in Battlefield 6

Silent Steel suddenly finds its real-world gear featured in one of the year’s biggest video games, completely without knowing it.
When Battlefield 6 launched earlier this month, players noticed something unexpected: real, fully licensed firearm accessories from an Silent Steel appearing in the game. The company says it had no idea its products were included until Polenar Tactical shared a post in Instagram and tagged Silent Steel on the post.

Silent Steel, an innovative Finnish producer of weapon parts and accessories, designs products for, law enforcement and the military. With extensive input on R&D, Silent Steel has introduced several new products which have changed the industry standards.

Among the gear found in the game are the Silent Steel Compact Streamer suppressor, the QD Muzzle Brake, and the QD 5-Prong Flash Hider. The distinctive design of the products is easy to recognize for a trained eye. The developer EA / DICE has not been in contact with the company.

“We were completely taken by surprise,” says Harri Sjögren, CEO of Silent Steel. “It’s rare for a Finnish manufacturer like us to be noticed at this level, and it’s amazing that our products were chosen for such a massive, global game. It’s both unexpected and a huge compliment.”

From niche industry to global visibility
Battlefield 6 was released on October 10 and has already become one of the most successful shooters of the year. For a specialized company like Silent Steel, this kind of unplanned digital exposure could mean a major boost in awareness and business.

“Our products are known for precision engineering and distinct design, but we’ve never imagined they’d show up in a video game,” Sjögren says. “It’s the kind of moment that could open doors, from new distributors to new markets.”
Over 90 percent of the Finnish company’s production is exported, and it already operates a licensed manufacturing partner in the United States. Now, thanks to Battlefield 6, Silent Steel’s products are reaching an entirely new audience.
