Press release – new QD mounting system

PRESS RELEASE

Silent Steel Introduces the new Boltlok™ Quick-Attach Mounting System Rock-solid locking, zero play, lightweight design for hard use.

Silent Steel is proud to announce the launch of its latest patent pending innovation in suppressor mounting technology: the Boltlok™ Quick-Attach System, debuting at Enforce Tac 2026 in Nuremberg.

Designed for professionals and demanding shooters, Boltlok delivers a fast, easy-to-use, and extremely secure attachment that remains rock solid even under the toughest conditions.

Rock-Solid Locking — No Loosening, No Jamming

The Boltlok system eliminates one of the most common challenges in suppressor use: mounting reliability during sustained fire. Even when the suppressor is shot extremely hot, the locking mechanism remains fully functional.
• The suppressor will not loosen during heavy firing
• The locking system will not seize or jam when heated
• Attachment remains secure in high-stress operational environments

Zero Play, Maximum Stability

Boltlok allows the user to tighten the mount so that the lock is guaranteed to be firmly secured, removing all unwanted movement.

During the initial installation, the user can adjust the locking tension to achieve the tightest possible fit. The Bolt mechanism features six positive positions, allowing the shooter to select the optimal setting on first use. Once adjusted, the system becomes extremely fast and simple to operate: the user only needs to attach the suppressor and slide the locking latch fully rearward to engage a secure, repeatable lock-up.

This adjustable tightening feature:
• Six positive locking positions
• Eliminates all clearance and play in the mount
• Ensures the suppressor cannot shift or rotate
• Provides a consistently tight, repeatable lock-up
• Enables quick and effortless attachment after initial setup

Cleaner Interface, Better Sealing

A tight mounting system also improves sealing between the suppressor and muzzle device. Boltlok ensures that the tapered contact surfaces remain perfectly seated, preventing fouling from entering the locking components.

As a result:
• The taper surfaces stay tightly sealed
• Locking parts remain cleaner from gas and carbon buildup
• Long-term reliability is significantly improved

Lightweight Quick-Attach Performance

Boltlok has been engineered to remain exceptionally lightweight, adding minimal weight compared to traditional direct-thread suppressors. Users gain the full benefits of a secure quick-attach system without compromising balance or handling.

Full Compatibility and Product-Wide Availability

Silent Steel Boltlok is fully compatible with existing Borelock muzzle devices, allowing users to upgrade seamlessly without changing their current setup. In addition, the Boltlok locking system will become available across the full Silent Steel product range, including suppressors and future accessories.

Expanding Boltlok Muzzle Device Lineup

In addition to the new mounting system, Silent Steel will introduce a full range of Boltlok-compatible muzzle devices, including flash hiders and muzzle brakes, available in multiple thread patterns and calibers. This ensures that users can configure the Boltlok system across a wide variety of platforms, from sporting rifles to professional-duty applications.

Launch at Enforce Tac 2026

The new Boltlok Quick-Attach System will be officially unveiled at:
